Purpose: 
These interactive learning materials are aimed at augmenting the existing knowledge databases that discuss global health systems, that are employable in building public policy for action-oriented outcome. Focused on contributing to the operationalization of One Health for the prevention, control, and management of infectious diseases that have a human – animal – environmental interface.

Description: 
An highlight of various technical measures used in assessing, analyzing, and mapping relationships between pandemic-prone infections, and environment-human-animal interactions.

Objectives:
At the end of the session, participants are expected to have acquired a substantial level of intuition into
 Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and various other Infectious Diseases countermeasures that are employable along the three core stages of preparedness cycle: anticipation, response and recovery. Covering essential pandemic preparedness issues like;

— Importance of community actions to pandemic preparedness.

— Advantages of deploying multidisciplinary teams in
assessing relationships between infections, humans, and animals.

— Importance of harmonized public health policies in pandemic preparedness

— Usefulness of information sharing for a collaborative ecosystem for pandemic preparedness plan. 

— Ideal settings for using the
WHO’s Early Warning, Alert and Response System (EWARS).

 Duration: 3 hours.

Intended Audience: Anyone with an interest in public health.

Mode of Instruction: Self Paced E-learning.

Certification: 
A digital certificate of course completion is available upon course completion. A score of 70% and above is required.
