GHPP is integrally linked to GACP (Good Agricultural and Collection Practices for Medicinal Plants) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), by elaborating on the post-harvest processing procedures for herbal medicinal products' safety & quality. All personnel should be aware of their role and responsibility in protecting medicinal plants from contamination or deterioration. Medicinal plants handlers should have the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to handle medicinal raw materials hygienically.  Systems should be in place to ensure that plant collectors remain aware of all procedures necessary to maintain the safety and suitability of Medicinal Plants. All personnel involved in the pharmaceutical production line (farm to shelf)  must be given training on all the aspects of GACP to produce end product with safety, qualiity and efficacy assured. All personnel should be aware of their role and responsibility in protecting food from contamination or deterioration. Food handlers should have the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to handle food hygienically.  Systems should be in place to ensure that food handlers remain aware of all procedures necessary to maintain the safety and suitability of food. All personnel involved in the food chain must be given training on all the aspects of food hygiene to produce food with safety.
