Definition of Pharmacy:
Pharmacy is the clinical health science that links medical science with chemistry and it is charged with the discovery, production, disposal, safe and effective use, and control of medications and drugs.
Program Goal(s):
Graduates of the programs will be trained to meet the needs of pharmaceutical industry to support research, development and manufacturing operations. The modern course design will ensure that Graduates of the degree program will be among the strongest available candidates for entry to the pharmaceutical industry and higher education courses.
Expected Capabilities and Skills:
The program objective is to provide a well-rounded undergraduate education in pharmaceutical sciences and to integrate knowledge with hands-on experience to enhance career path development.
Curriculum:
The four year curriculum for the B. Pharmacy begins with a foundation of coursework in mathematics, biology, chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology and computers. This inter-disciplinary program includes advanced coursework in the pharmaceutical sciences, including drug design and synthesis, natural products chemistry, mechanisms of drug action, pharmacology and toxicology, dosage formulation, industrial pharmacy, pharmaceutical engineering, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacokinetics, biopharmaceutics, biotechnology, regulatory affairs, intellectual property, and pharmacy practice. .
COURSE DURATION:
4 Years.
COURSE FEE:
8,000 USD / academic year .
COURSE REQUIREMENT(S):
A score of 60% and above in Premed (PREMED).
*Year 2 entry option is available for some Graduates.
Mode of Instruction: Online (Machine Learning, Self-Paced).
Award Title: Bachelor of Pharmacy.
