Purpose: The course is edited (source(s): WHO, CDC & NIH) for Health Care Professionals as an introduction, an update and also as a guide for those aspiring a career in Public Health / Tropical Medicine / Parasitology.

Course Description: The course
presents issues related to malaria as a major public health problem. Emphasizes the biology of malaria parasites and factors affecting their transmission to humans by anopheline vectors, as well as Malaria management and policy issues in the COVID - 19 ERA.

Course Duration: 12 Weeks.

Credit Hours: 36.

Fee: 20 USD

Certification(s): A digital certificate of course completion is available upon course completion. A score of 70% and above is required.

 Week 5- Malaria epidemiology (3 hours).


Week 6- Malaria host immunity (3 hours).

 
Week 7- Risk factors associated with Malaria infection (3 hours).

Week 8- Malaria & human behavior ( 3 hours).


Week 9- Malaria chemotherapyand drug resistances  (3 hours).

Week 10- Malaria  anti-vector measures (3 hours).


Week 11- Malaria vaccine development (3 hours).


Week 12- Malaria management and policy issues in the COVID - 19 ERA.
