All personnel should be aware of their role and responsibility in protecting medicinal plants from contamination or deterioration. Medicinal plants handlers should have the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to handle medicinal raw materials hygienically.  Systems should be in place to ensure that plant collectors remain aware of all procedures necessary to maintain the safety and suitability of Medicinal Plants. All personnel involved in the pharmaceutical production line (farm to shelf)  must be given training on all the aspects of GACP to produce end product with safety, qualiity and efficacy assured.
